Dear South Bay Expressway FasTrak® Customer,
I have great news to share with you!
I am pleased to let you know that on April 14, 2011, the Federal bankruptcy court approved our Chapter 11 reorganization plan and we will officially emerge a stronger, more financially healthy company by the end of the month.
It’s been just a little more than a year since South Bay Expressway filed for reorganization under the United States bankruptcy code. Our goal was to reorganize our business and restructure our debt, making us stronger financially and better able to focus our efforts and resources on the needs of customers and other stakeholders. I’m happy to say that during the past year, we have accomplished that and more.
I am especially proud that we were able to continue to provide excellent service to our customers during the reorganization process. During the past year, we also made improvements to the toll road and in our community; such as our recent installation of credit card machines at all tolling points and completion of new campsites, playground areas and a new community building at Sweetwater Summit Park.
As a SBX customer, we are grateful to you for your support. You are the foundation of our business and we are committed to enthusiastically and professionally serving you each day we come to work. I also want to thank our SBX team for their commitment through this process. They’ve done an amazing job of taking care of our customers during this challenging time.
We’ve worked really hard to get to where we are today. We’re convinced that this hard work will pay off for you as our customer and for our business. And things are looking up. Economic growth is beginning to return to the South Bay, we have continued to add new customers and our traffic counts are higher than they were a year ago.
Thank you for being a South Bay Expressway customer. We’re excited about the future as we move forward stronger than ever.
Respectfully,
Greg Hulsizer
