Here at SBX, we love summer. We love baseball. And we love our customers. We take our commitment to each of you very seriously. Want to use your FasTrak transponder in a family or friend's vehicle?

No problem! You can add license plates to your account 24/7! Click here!

Can we read your license plates?

Using FasTrak is easy, but even when you're all signed up and ready to go, there's one more thing to double-check. Can we read your license plates?

When you use South Bay Expressway or another California FasTrak toll facility, the electronic tolling system reads your transponder, captures an image of your license plate and matches it to the vehicle information we have with your account. This helps us make sure it's really you using your FasTrak transponder. Please check your license plates to make sure there are no obstructions, like license-plate frames that can make an "E" look like an "F." Once that's done, you're really ready to hit the FasTrak!

SBX Cares Update

Our support for community nonprofit and charitable organizations continues! We're proud to add the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Los Bilingual Writers to our list of those we are honored to support.

The best part of SBX Cares is getting to meet outstanding community members from each group. Shown are members of Amigas Punto Com who received a financial contribution from our employees and members of Eastlake High School Band who we helped to send to New York to play at Carnegie Hall!

Other activities and organizations we've recently supported include the International Friendship Games, Chula Vista Park & Recreation, Sharp Healthcare Foundation, Salt Creek Elementary School Fun Run, Chula Vista Rotary Foundation and Kiwanis of Chula Vista.

Toll Plaza Going Unstaffed on Weekends Starting in July

Do you know someone who still isn't saving time and money by having FasTrak? We have some important information for our cash-paying customers.

Starting on July 25, 2009, the Otay Mesa Toll Plaza will no longer be staffed by toll attendants on Saturdays and Sundays. The unstaffed lanes on weekends will be in addition to the current unstaffed hours of 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. daily. The lanes will be open for cash payments using our Automated Cash Machines only. The Automated Cash Machines don't make change, so customers need to have the exact toll with them. To view our toll schedule, visit http://www.southbayexpressway.com/pdf/PrintableTollCard.pdf.

Pssst! We know the back way to Cricket Wireless and Knott's Soak City!

Don't sit in traffic on the 805 anymore when going to a concert at Cricket Wireless or spending the day at Knott's Soak City. Leave the long lines for the concessions at the show or the rides at the water park, and use South Bay Expressway to get there faster. It's easy!

Travel south on SBX past the Otay Mesa Toll Plaza. Exit at the end of South Bay Expressway, and turn right to travel west on SR-905/Otay Mesa Road. A few miles and you're almost there! Turn right on Heritage Road, and follow Heritage until you approach the parking lots! No more sitting on the 805 and Main Street! Use this route and arrive on time. As a bonus, you'll get better parking and arrive more relaxed!
