Terms and Conditions
When opening an account, all FasTrak® Terms and Conditions apply in addition to the following:
To qualify for the Refer-a-Friend Promotion and receive your $25 Refer-a-Friend toll credits, the person you refer (“referee”) must open a new FasTrak account with South Bay Expressway (“SBX”) between January 6, 2011 and December 31, 2011 and provide your personal reference code at the time of account opening. New accounts must be opened by phone by calling (619) 661-7070 or in person at the South Bay Expressway Customer Service Center at 1129 La Media Road, San Diego, CA 92154, Monday through Friday 8 a.m.- 6 p.m., excluding holidays. This promotion is good for new accounts ONLY and cannot be applied for customers who close an account and re-open a new account. This Promotion also does not apply to transponders added to existing FasTrak accounts. There is no limit to the number of referrals that can be applied to an account, as long as all required conditions are met.
The $25 (twenty-five dollar) Refer-a-Friend free toll credits will be credited towards the total valid South Bay Expressway FasTrak account and not per transponder on the account. Toll credits will be applied to the referring account if the referring account is in good standing on or about 60 days after the referee account has been opened, if that referee account is still open and is in good standing. Otherwise, no toll credit will be applied.
The one (1) week of free unlimited travel on South Bay Expressway for the referee is good for new accounts opened with the Refer-A-Friend promotion only and ends on the seventh consecutive day after the account has been open. It does not represent any monetary value and cannot be reimbursed or saved for future use.
Free toll credits must be used within six (6) months of crediting to your FasTrak account after which, any remaining free toll credits will expire and be deducted from your prepaid toll balance. Toll credits are not refundable or transferable and have no cash value.
The Refer-a-Friend toll credits are good only for travel on SBX; only for transactions made with a valid SBX transponder and can also be applied towards any fees relating to the Monthly Minimum Toll Policy ("pay-by-plate" trips and trips using a transponder issued by another California toll operator are not included in the Promotion).
Unless indicated otherwise, this promotion may not be combined with other SBX promotions. Where a conflict exists between promotions, SBX reserves the right to determine which promotion will apply. SBX reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel or extend any promotion at any time without prior notice. South Bay Expressway also reserves the right to change, add or delete to the official promotion details and restrictions at any time during any promotion, without prior notice.
